It was in the Kingdom of Verogen that the would be emperor Garnok met his fate. Gloan a lowly goblin slave, rode up and slew both the warlord and his newly crowned son. Lawbringers who witnessed the fight declared it a fair duel between the goblin and the king. The goblin was made the first goblin in recorded history to be king of great city of Dirg. of course nobody knows if there was a crowned goblin on Dirg prior to the dragon empire.
Gloan the quick ruled Verogen for many decades. He kept them safe up until 14 years after the Storm-Eater. An easier task due to coastal proximity than most interior cities that dried up in the 20 years of drought.
Dirg has a mixed population. Gloan the quick allowed the Lawbringers to enforce the common law. When Gloan died his son Gloan the second took up the crown. He is a young and inexperienced king
Gloan is a goblin king however he is not The Goblin King. When King Gloan the first ascended he had to make the journey back to Goblin Valley to perform the Oath-Dissolution ritual with The Goblin king. By all accounts it was a non-contentious event. King Gloan the Second was never a vassal of The Goblin King. Under King Gloan the Second there is an alliance and many trade agreements between Goblin Valley and Verogen
Verogen has six great canals dug over the last decade and a half to support the border towns out in the desert
